Question Gtx 1070 founders edition getting too hot

The GPU is an MSI GeForce GTX 1070 8gb founders edition. The motherboard is an acer predator G3-605 and the PSU is ACER predator 500w 80+ bronze

CPU i5 4690 Haswell

During benchmark the voltage going to GPU is 1.03

Temps are getting to 82 on ultra on ghost reckon wildlands, this didn't happen on my old MSI RX580 8gb OC

Can someone help me

Comparing apples & oranges there.

The FE cooler is fairly limited, and assuming you're still hosuedi n the Predator case, airflow isn't exactly ideal.

These blower-type cooler GPUs tend to get hot while gaming. How is the airflow inside your ATX cabinet ? Have you tried creating a CUSTOM FAN profile via the MSI AB tool. Don't compare the TEMP with a custom GPU model.

I'm using temp controls from CAM as I can't find the nvidea ones in the nvidea control panel. But improved since taking case off. Just a banger case!

There seems to be 3 pins with red caps on (ms something it says in small writing above one) and on other it says com something. Can I attach a fan to any of those. Seem like the same 3 pin fan connections
