Hi, first of all i'm not english so sorry If I make some mistakes, I have had run a "config test" to know what I have on my new computer, but we can see the speed of my graphic card, it was:

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070

Version DirectX installée: 11.0 (direct x version, which is weird because I thought it was 12)
Fréquence du GPU: 607 MHz (low)
Fréquence mémoire du GPU: 405 MHz (low)
My CPU is an intel i7-6700k just in case.
Please help me.

No GPU before 1070 (there was the windows one because I started from nothing), I have windows 10 x64 home.

I have this problem with the EVGA 1070 founder edition.

Sometimes I fireup overwatch and everything is slugish. I look at GPU-Z and the GPU is at about 800mhz...

To fix it, I open EVGA PrecisionX OC, and click 'default', which seems to reset the GPU clock.. pretty annoying

Hello,

I am wondering this too... When I play lol my clock speed stays around 1550 instead of going up to 2.1 Ghz. then I notice that I am getting like 200 - 300 fps in LOL. I am going to try also resetting and then reapplying my OC and seeing if this helps. :)

Do you have it often or just with one game? How do you think this occurs? Is it because the dynamic boost 3.0 is somewhat buggy?

If it's only in idle than it's just normal. Try to start any game and let MSI Afterburner show your speed. Look at the data while you're playing and figure out wether it's faster or not. If the card doesn't boost even under load you should consider a VBIOS flash (DON'T start the flash now, read the whole text) because something like DDU probably deleted your BIOS. WARNING: A VBIOS flash can go wrong and really destroy a card !!! I'm not resoponsible for any issues or hardware damage it might cause !!!

That's what you have to do:
1. Download the BIOS from the card's company page (e.g. mine was Gigabyte)
2. Open the file and start the flash IF YOU WANNA DO IT FOR SURE
3. When it's finished you just restart your PC and there you go.

I hope this might help. Greetings.

That's how all card clocks look when Idle.

Don't worry, it will boost right up when you launch a game.

That's my idling 1060 and it boosts all the way up to 2101 MHz when I launch any GPU bound application.

I fixed this issue out by unistalling current last driver from nvidia with program like ddu and than downloaded 368 version . Now all work as it should. Before this memory clock always stacked at 400MHZ in idle and at full load. I pretty sure this will help you too.

Asus Z170 sabertooth
Zotac GTX 1070 AMP EXTREME.

i have about the same problem with my strix 1070, after it crashed and i could physically smell it, the rgb broke, the fan control broke (it does 2 speeds: idle and full speed, when @ full speed cannot be turned back) and i cannot set its speed. does still play games, i personally still need to send mine back (RMA) but im too lazy. i would recommend you do the same

I have the same problem in my laptop lenovo legion y920 with a gtx 1070. My frame rates dont go higher then 45fps in Sea of Thieves menu all lowest, and PUBG not above 25fps also all lowest... Idk what to do. I tried everything my clock speeds dont fireup when i start a game. Didnt tried the VBIOS flash though...
