I was testing my OC:

Core Votlage 100%
Power Limit 126%
Core Clock +140 Mhz
Memory Clock +400 Mhz
Fan Curve: V
Fan Speed: 60%

I tested these settings before and i didn't had anything weird (lagspike, artifacts, stuck, crashes)

But today i went to play some game and i saw the memory is at 4204 Mhz instead of 4404 Mhz i went to google and i couldn't find anything on this and hasn't happend before. I update my bios awhile ago and the setting is on max performance in control panel.

Soo after that i did reset the settings in Afterburner and the memory showed 3806 Mhz. Then i went and reset my computer and now it's back to what it used to be.

Hope to hear from someone!

Question from A Gamer : "GTX 1070 OC - Is This Normal?"

I want to know why it happend, Probably the memory overheated and down clocked itself. But not sure that's a thing.

Not too sure about this area but I'm pretty sure the base and core clock fluctuates depending on how much is in use (So it will go down when I'm browsing youtube but will go back up when playing games).

Yes, that's about the core clock but not the memory clock.

Temp limitations? With GPU Boost 3.0, you'll see some variances related to voltage/temps etc.
As temps exceed certain 'markers', I believe in 5'C intervals, you see a drop of 50MHz (IIRC).

So, for example, if your temps are 40'C (and you see 4404Mhz), in 5'C intervals you'd 'lose' 50Mhz.
So, by the time you hit 60'C, you'd be looking at 4204Mhz.

Unless the clock is back to 4404Mhz and stays that way under load/increased temps now..... it sounds like nothing out of the ordinary occurred.

I guess that's it, after the reset of my pc and testing i did see temp limit coming up. Ill set my fan curve higher soo it shouldn't occur anymore now.

It's the same with my memory clock too (sorry I should've stated that too)
