Hi!
I just bought a 4k tv (w/ pc and game input options) to use as my monitor since my old LED 32" tv (been using as monitor) broke. I noticed quite an input lag and playing the old games, such as witcher 3, thay i used to play on high settings virtually lagged also.

I figured it's due to my video card not being the latest models that support 4k resolution. Would upgrading to a gtx 1070 help me fix these rendering lags?

Current Setup
Cpu: i5 6600
Moba: msi 7170a tomahawk
Gpu: Sapphire r9 280x Vapor-X
Ram: 16gb DDR4
Psu: 750w seasonic 80+ Gold

the 1070 supports 4k

you should be playing witcher 3 at medium/high mixed settings for decent fps

input lag is caused by the monitor

make sure you go into the tv's menu and choose either "gaming mode" or it may have "pc" mode

Yes I choose the PC input on the tv...

Given that the input lag is in the tv as you say. I'm guessing the input lag won't change regardless if I update my video card then?
