gtx 1070 power limit 112%?

soo i used to have gtx 1060 3gb just bought 1070 asus dual my gtx 1060 3gb was also asus dual oc
soo i tried to overclock my 1070 a lil bit but then i saw the power limit is 112% wtf? in my 1060 it was more!!! is the card faulty did i do something wrong ?

I'm assuming you are using precision X to O/C and that you put the max power to 112%, correct? If so, that's just a start - from there you can adjust your core and mem clocks, stepping up bit by bit, until your card becomes unstable. At that point, you can use the voltage slider on the left side of precision X to increase the voltage until the core and mem clock setting becomes stable. Rinse and repeat until you reach your max O/C or a stable setting you like. Also, I wouldn't worry too much about too much voltage on the 1070 - the card is a beast and as long as your GPU temp is under 80c you should be fine.

I got the Gigabyte 1070 OC. my card is dropping frames from 60 - 50 fps on Tomb Rader 20 year celebration Max settings without Anti aliasing 1080p. when i put my power limit to 112% it does 60 fps stable no problem.
