Hi all, i'm looking into getting a new videocard. I currently have a Radeon R9 270 X, which is capable but a bit limited, and is also literally dying.

I'm looking for something that has 6+ GB of VRAM, and a passmark G3D score of >9000

Anyways, what i'm looking at right now is the GTX 1070, and i'm confused by prices i'm seeing. A quick peek on google shopping shows prices averaging around £370

Buuuut just a little down the page i found this

Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1070 Founders Edition Graphics Card - 8 GB GDDR5

It seems to be the card i'm after, but the price is lower. Much lower. Almost 50% less than the other results. What the heck is going on here? I'm missing some important detail

What am i missing? Why is that so much cheaper than others?
Can anyone recommend a good card that fits my requirements too, if this is unsuitable? Ideal price would be <£250

Hey thats a scam right there. If it's too good to be true it is.
A 1060 6gb (if lucky) or rx 580 should fit in that budget nicely.

ugh you're right, all the links actually lead to 1050 2GB
Maybe not a scam but an error on google's part, thanks for the recommendation
