Gtx 1070 ROG strix doesn't work

I bought a 1070 gtx rog strix today. I connect it to the motherboard, plug power cable and my display port monitor and try to boot it up. Sadly, it doesn't boot up.
The color shows blue and a second later red and the system shuts down.
What now then? Any solutions?

My specs:
I7 4790
Z87 G55
16gb ram

My previous card was r9 390x. I unintalled all drivers.

Do you have any custom bios settings?
If not, i would recommend resetting settings to optimised defaults and trying to boot again.
