Greetings,

At an impasse. Can't find info. Ordering tonight (or not, if you say not). I think.

I've got a $30 gift card and a %15 off discount on amazon. So I can get a $400 GPU for about 330 bucks.

I need to order tonight.

I am stuck betweent he 389.99 GTX 1070 ASUS Turbo and the GTX 1070 ROG OC for 419.99.

I have a Corsair 100R silent edition.

Will the Turbo be better, or will the ROG STRIX be worth it. Also, worth it for me, its a %8 or better improvement. Please, can someone show me some benchmarks where they are compared or just give me some information based on your epxertise. I want to order one of these so I get it sunday, I just cant choose.

1. Do I need a blower style in that corsair 100r silent? (I don't think so, because my uber hot 280x tri-wind Gigabyte rev 2.0 doesn't peak about 76* celsius at load.)

Also: is the rog at least 8% faster than the turbo? (proof if possible.)

Last question, and I appreciate your patience.

Do you think the Turbo / Blower style has a place in a 100R silent where the only intake fans are fairly low CFM due to the close proximity to the front wall where the only draw is from the sides adjacent to the fans, and the back fan? (I know that was a mouthful, runon, probably terrible structured sentence.) +rep mate.

Pardon the doublepost. Want to make sure you see this.

My system is as follows:

100R:

Noctua 92mm fan cooler.

2 CM ~60 CFM 120mm fans facing from front. 1x 30 CFM stock fan facing out.

Current temps (usual) under full load stress: Cpu ~65 c gpu ~79 c

Last question.

Given my specs: i5 3570 3.9Ghz, 16gb ram, 1070. Do you think I'm going to encounter a terrible Bottleneck?

I'm playing Fallout 4, Witcher 3, and games less demanding than those. I just watched videos of people w/ my set up maxing out 60-90 fps witcher 3.

Just want insight. (I waited last night. I'm ordering shortly. Just wondering if I should just say no to supersampling and get a 1060.)

Going to buy the EVGA 1070 SC Black

-----------

Ordered the GTX 1070 SC Black. Got it for $316. I figure that's about the price I'd pay for a tricked out 1060, even if it bottlenecks I'll get at least 1060 performance or better, and when I upgrade to a whole new system in about a year, my GPU can be swapped out.

Opinions on whether that was a good choice?

Thanks all, I'm done here. :)
