Hello all,

I bought a Gigabyte GTX 1070 a few days ago. I had a Radeon R9 280x before. I upgrade as my current card started to fail and of course because of the raving review of the new Nvidia cards.
However I feel that it does not perform as advertise and I pretty sure that there is something wrong somewhere. For instance, I tried Crysis 3 and the Witcher 3 on 1080p with everything maxed out; FPS ranges from 30-60. From the benchmarks out there it seems that this card can achieve much more. Am I wrong here?

For info and more precision, I used DDU in safe mode, unistalled my radeon drivers, shut down the pc, took out my r9 280x card, installed the 1070 and then installed the last NVIDIA driver.

My current rig

ASRock Z170 Pro4
Intel Core i5-6400
CorsairVengeance LPXDDR4-3000 16 GB (2 x 8 GB)
Plextor M6S 256 GB
SilverStone 700W

Solution
Go into the Nvidia Control Panel and under Manage 3d Settings, make sure VSync is turned off under both the Global and Program tabs.

This might be perfectly normal with maxed settings. Do some reading/research and see if your numbers match what others get with Crysis maxed.

I did indeed some research before hand. But unfortunately these figures does not match what I have 🙁
Sometime FPS even drop around 15-30 when its quite busy.
