I currently have an EVGA GTX1070 SC that I got like 2 weeks ago. But now I kind of want to switch to the 1080 (yes, I know there is a price difference) but was wondering if the switch would be worth it.

Which of the GTX 1080 brands would be best with my current rig?

CPU: i7 4790k (not clocked)
MB: Asus Z97 Saber tooth Mark 2
Cooler: Corsair H100i GTX
Ram: Corsair Vengeance (2x4GB) 8GB 1886 (1336 or something now, want to update to 16GB)
HDD: 2x 1TB WD HDD & 1 Samsung Evo 840 250GB (almost all full)
Case: ThermalTake V71

I don't plan on over clocking because I haven't an idea on how to LOL.

Normally want to go 2 steps over what you have to get enough of a gain to make it worthwhile. I don't think you want for spen for a TitanX pascal...

What resolution do you game at, a 1080 might not get you anything but frames you can't even use.

I mainly game at 1080.. Perhaps not getting the GTX 1080, and just OC CPU and GPU? Using my current rig, MB/CPU Cooler and all, is there a guide for a successful OC? I have 0 clue on clocking hah

If you game at 1080p, it's not going to be worth the extra cost for a GTX 1080, at least not now. Are you not getting the performance you want in a game you are playing, and if so, what game is it? A 1070 should be giving you great performance, as long as you aren't being ridiculous with AA, or playing a game which is simply poorly coded.

Why do you need to OC? What games are you playing that aren't getting good enough performance? What settings are you using, specifically the AA levels.

The vast majority of games should perform great with your setup. Are you chasing after 144 FPS or something?
