Question GTX 1080 Clock spikes

Hi. I'm not sure if this is normal, but my GPU clock and Memory Clock spikes randomly.
Yes, i have the latest drivers. It happens right away i start the computer.

Even if i close chrome and discord, it happens.

This is happening to me too so I'll chill here to see if anyone gives some insight

What I've found so far is this is a common issue with multiple monitor setups -- do you have more than one? Apparently it can also be caused by 144Hz. Not sure if either of these problems are fixed to any degree yet.

Personally I'm running a 144hz and a 60hz so not sure what I can do if this is the problem

Yes, i'm too using a 60hz and a 144hz.

yes me too i have 1090 strix+i7 6700k and they all bellow 60c when playing using 144hz and sometimes with another monitor with 60 hz
