Just as the title states.

I have a GTX 1080 DUKE thats pretty good but im always interested in better performance if its worth it. I notice with my gtx 1080 i get about 90-100FPS on BF5 but sometimes drop to 60-70
So is it worth it to an upgrade to a RTX 2070? if not a 2080?

I currently play games like BF5, Rocket league, Jurassic world evolution, PUBG, Assassins Creed odyssey, hitman 2, and VR games with my HTC vive.

i7 7700k
1.5TB SSD
32GB ram DDR4
650W PSU
GTX 1080 DUKE
h100i pro cooler

I also play on a 32 inch 144hz 1440p monitor.

I think you don't need to upgrade, I strongly recommend that you turn off your FPS monitoring and enjoy the games. If you fail to enjoy the games then spend more money and hopefully that help. But seriously, if you paid for a 1080 then you should expect that to last 2 generations, not 1 generation.

In my humble opinion your next card should be a 3080 or if AMD somehow deliver, a freakish 7nm 12GB monster Radeon card.

I'm running a 9900k on a 1060 6GB 1400p 144hz GSync monitor plus 2 x 1080p side monitors and Im struggling to be convinced a 2080 is worthwhile. Mind you I'm casual af and my PC is for work hence the ridiculous CPU
