Hi guys.
So recently i built myself a new desktop for gaming and streaming. And i'm trying to decide whether to get a "cheap" KFA2 EX OC for 650€ in France since most 1080's seem to hit around the same oc , OR get an Evga 1080 FTW Hybrid for 780€ so temps won't throttle the gpu as much and with the dual bios it will be saffer to tweak around when proper modded bios come out, besides other deciding factors like looks , warranty , etc.
At the moment i feel inclined towards the 1080 Hybrid for obvious reasons, if anyone has something to add i would deeply appreciate the help in choosing.

Atm my rig is composed of :

Case : Thermaltake Core v71
CPU : i7-6700k @ 4.9 with Corsair h110i GTX
Motherboard : Asus Maximus Ranger VIII
Ram : 16gb GSkill TridentZ ddr4 3200mhz
PSU : Leppa G1600w
Storage :
HyperX Predator M.2 480 Gb boot and games
Intel SSD 530 series 240Gb (Gameplays)
Seagate Barracuda 7200rpm 4TB (Storage)

Yeah Hybrid seems best to me too specially since in Portugal (where i live) its sold for 900-950€ same as MSI Sea Hawk. So if i buy it for 780€ in France i'll be saving alot of money and if i decide to sell and buy the Titanium Version i will be losing less money since the 1080 will have better resale value than the 1070, specially the Hybrid version.

Also there's the Evga step-up program like you said which is another reason why i like Evga.
I had a look at the 1070 for 400€ also KFA2 Ex Oc and considered SLI but i preffer single gpu solutions.

I'll be gaming at 1080p 144hz for now and upgrade to 4k or atleast 1440p 144hz for racing games and the sorts where >60 fps doesnt matter much (Still matter but you know..)

Atm running a...
Between those two choices, I would buy the EVGA 1080 FTW Hybrid.

What is your current graphics card?

Personally I've never been a huge fan of the *80 series of Nvidia GPUs. They are always highly sought after until the Titanium variant comes out, then you're left with regret. If I didn't already have 980 Ti's, I'd currently purchase an MSI or EVGA 1070, and then consider upgrading when the 1080 Ti comes out. EVGA has the 90 day step-up program, while I like the MSI 1070 Gaming X just a tad more.
