GTX 1080 FTW Temps too high?

Hi guys/gals, I just recently built a new PC with the above mentioned card. It is in a mid case (Phanteks 400s Tempered Glass) and I was wondering if my temperatures are too high for comfort or if they're normal for a mid case (coming from an ultra tower).

I have 3 exhaust fans (one rear and two on top) and a push/pull 240mm AIO cooler bringing in air from the front. Under full GPU load my temps range from 70c-80c with fans at 90-100%, idle is 45c with fans at 30%. Are the full load temps to close for comfort for a mid case or am I just being paranoid?

Thanks!

Other rig specs:
cpu - i7 7700k
ram - g.skill ddr4 3000mhz
psu - 1000w evga g3
monitor - benq 27in 1080 @ 144hz

Room temperature from what I can guess is around 75-80F depending on the day (my apartment doesn't allow me to change temps -_-)

The first thing I would try is to remove the side panel and see if the fan speeds drop at all. Might also try moving the AIO cooler to the top of the case and setting fans to exhaust. Then move then use two or three fans as an intake.

Sadly I can not top mount the radiator in the case, removing the side panel drops the temps by maybe a degree or two at best. I have a custom fan curve set in afterburner that will force the fans to 90%+ if it hits 70c. should I lower the curve and see what the temps are like then?

After doing that I noticed the GPU clock was self overclocking by about 10% which was causing the temp to increase past normal temps. Setting temp limit helped solve this issue. Thanks!
