gtx 1080 g1 gaming vs windforce oc

hey i am lokking to buy a 1080 card and was looking at those two is it worth it to pay the extra 50$ for the g1 gaming instead of the windforce one?

I think I'm getting the windforce, from what I hear most difference versions are just "fancier looking cards with different overclocks" which you can do yourself.

No, not worth the extra money. You *might* get the same speeds after oc-ing but there's no guarantee. Doesn't really matter though; the difference is 2-5 fps and you'll likely never notice a difference.

is there no diffrence in quality of the card ? meaning one has better fans or somethng like this

Nope, same fans, same motherboard, same warranty, just a higher overclock in the more expensive one.

The main difference between the 2 besides higher clock is the G1 version has what they call “gauntlet sorting” which they claim to give better OC results and stability
