Hello, i was just wondering, i was thinking on buying a 1080 card but can my PSU handle it ? or do i need to get a new one?

my Specs and Psu are

Intel I5-8600k
16GB Corsair Vengeance RGB DDR4 3000MHz RAM
240GB Adata SX8200 M.2 SSD
3tb hard drive
Cool master Cpu liquid cooler
Gtx 1060 6gb gaming X
Psu - Coolmaster B600 Ver.2 80 plus 230v eu

Solution

That PSU will be more than enough for your needs.
I would also look for a PSU with at least a 80+Bronze certification....that is just my personal opinion.

What is you budget for a PSU and what country...
It will run the 1080 but I would suggest rather to get a new PSU. That unit is a 600W yes, but only rated at 552W on the 12V rails, that is usually a sign of a low end PSU. I had a Corsiar CX500 that was a 500W but only did 456W on the 12V. It handled my RX580 just fine, but as soon as I started to overclock I ran into issues with random shutdowns. To be on the safe side, it will be better to get a new better quality PSU.

what kind of psu would you think would be good?
how about the 700W Thermaltake: Smart RGB Power PSU?

I live in Australia, they cost a little bit more, ah my budget maybe around up to 200 aud.
Honestly, i do not mind the Psu, just need it to be worked well and not shut down my pc if i try and overclock anything to be honest. so that PSU would work good? is it better then what i have now?

I would say it is on par with what you have now just a higher wattage.

I selected a $150 limit on https://au.pcpartpicker.com/products/power-supply/#X=0,14991&sort=-price&page=1
Any units on the top for around $150 are excellent units.

This is a good PSU: https://au.pcpartpicker.com/product/MfJwrH/evga-power-supply-220g20750xr

Oh okay, thanks !! i will look into them..

i found this on special, what do you think of this ?
