Hi All,

I have my pc running great but the new Gtx 1080 really seems great after the specs and benchmarks i have seen. So i am wondering if the 1080 will work in my build being gddr5x not just the standard gddr5.

My build consists of the following:
CASE: NZXT Phantom 410 mid tower
MOBO: Asus rampage iv black edition
CPU: Intel Core i7 4820k
MEMORY: Corsair Vengeance Pro 32GB DDR3 2133MHz CMY32GX3M4B2133C11
PSU: Corsair AX 860i
SSD: Samsung 850 Pro 512gb
HARDDRIVE: WD 3TB black
CPU COOLING: Cooler Master Hyper 212x
GPU: EVGA 780ti
OS: Windows 8.1

Please contact me for more infomation

Thanks in advance

Nick

The GTX 1080 is more power efficient than the GTX 780Ti, so it will consume less power under load. Even if you had a 500W PSU, you would be fine.

So i wont need to worry about buying a new PSU that is larger as i was a little bit worried about not having enough wattage with the one i have?
