GTX 1080 low performance

GTX 1080 Founders edition

Intel i7-6700k 4 GHz

16GB ram (2x 8gb)

Asus Z-170-a Motherboard

Nothing is overclocked

I have been getting below average FPS in games such as battlefield 4 i only get around 100fps 1080p, i should be hitting way more with a GTX 1080. On 4k i only got to 28 fps on everything ultra, it should get around 45fps or more if im not mistaken. My firestrike bench marks were also really low, on a non OC gtx 1080 i should get a graphical score of 29 000 or more, instead i am getting only about 20 00, i know it is impossible i am bottle necking my card, please help!

Can you elaborate? How are the core temperatures when gaming?

Max any of the cores hit was 60 and lowest around 30 degrees Celsius.
