[SOLVED] GTX 1080 Not active Alienware Area 51

Using an Alienware area 51 and it's not picking up the GTX 1080 as a graphics card. It comes up under hidden components but won't allow me to select it in game or on desktop. It seems to fix if I restore the system to an earlier date, and the only file that changes is linked to Dell, but can't find any solution that isn't rolling back. After a while it returns to being unable to be used and have to restore again. Any advice?

It's in the Device Manager option, under Display Adaptors. It doesn't come up unless you let Device Manager "show hidden devices", and then won't let me interact with it.

then do this to go into safe mode (select safe mode with networking) : https://support.avira.com/hc/en-us/articles/360002870214-How-do-I-boot-Windows-10-in-Safe-Mode-
extract that ddu program and run the exe. You have to go like 2 folder in before you can see it.
Select nvidia for the graphic driver and click clean and restart.

If that doesn't fix it then idk what to do for you.
