Gtx 1080 or wait for the 1080 ti?

So, I'm looking at building a pc. I'm thinking of two gtx 1080's in sli. I don't play in anything more then 1080p usually, but I would like room to go further. If i want to buy 4k in the future I would like to, though this build is more for resolutions 2k and under. Will these two cards be fine for this? Or should I wait for the 1080 TI?

Dual 1080 in SLI is overkill for 1080p. If you want to run 4k, it should handle it quite well. No need in my opinion to wait for the Ti.

for just 1080p, complete waste of money to run 1080 sli.
2x 1070 would run everything in 1440p without a problem.
