Question GTX 1080 still good in 2019?

I'm looking to buy a gtx 1080 for my build (i5 7500, h170 mobo, 16gb ddr4 @2400mhz, and 600 watt psu). I was wondering how long can a gtx 1080 last especially in 2019 with all the new rtx cards are coming out. My reason is that I have a deal to buy a gtx 1080 for 470$ CAD and I dont want to waste my money on something that's only gonna last for a bit. Thanks for all of your advice in advance.

The GTX 1080 is definitely still good in 2019. In fact, it would even be good with a CPU such as the i7-7700, and is certainly a good match for even 9th generation i5 processors too. It'll be playing AAAs for a few years to come still.

It would also work fine with most Ryzen processors out on the market.
