First of all, hello everyone and sorry for long post u.u
It has been a couple of months since I joined the world of PC gaming, i bought an Asus GL502VS(i7600hq and gtx 1070) laptop and a Acer predator XB271HU with g-sync and 144hz.
At some point i started getting micro stutters(They could be seen more with g-sync on) , I really though it was a faulty laptop so a really felt angry all the money I spent on it(I still have it).
I then decided to go big and build a pc so over the course of 5 months I finally finished it.

Now the issue is: its happening with this PC too! I mean its not as noticeable but its still there, im freaking out :c.
So my question is, can a faulty monitor make this happen?(micro stuttering)

This happens in all games in one way or another for example:
* Rocket League: Micro stutters while on garage and when game launches and shows logo
* Dark Souls 3: In general this game has a lot of micro stuttering
* Prey: Seems ok but while loading screen shows after clicking on continue game micro stuttering can be felt
* Shadow of mordor: Casual micro stuttering while exploring
* Doom: Seems ok but while loading screen shows after clicking on continue game micro stuttering can be felt

Things I have tried:
* Setting prefer maximum performance on nvidia control panel(Does help but still happens)
* Disabling G-SYNC(Helps a lot but still happens)
* Using DDU and reinstalling latest drivers.
* Using adaptive v-sync(this also helps)

But really nothing makes the micro stutters go away.

Things I see important:
* Both gpus from laptop and pc are from asus
* PC is not overheating, no thermal throttling, laptop is at times.
* Also since im fairly new to PC gaming, maybe this is normal?
* I haven't overclocked anything, don't feel confident enough for doing it.
* Have been playing at 144hz refresh rate.
* There are some frame drops when micro stuttering occurs

The specs for PC are:
* Asus Strix GTX 1080 ti(non oc version)
* Intel core i7700k
* Auros Z270X-GAMING 7
* EVGA supernova NEX750B
* Corsair H100I v2
* G. Skill Trident 16 gb RAM 3200mhz
* XPG GAMMIX S10 256gb
* HDD Samsung 1tb 7200 rpm
* Acer monitor still has warranty

Thanks for any help or advice guys,I love playing good games, it has been a lot of work for me to get this stuff and I really want to play the best I can.

Solution
Your monitor has some sort of speed "gaming" option that has 3 settings I think... generaly you should put it at normal/medium. People seem to have problems with their low and high settings (ghosting and reverse ghosting) that's why I mentioned it.
When you check your monitor at your friend's laptop, make sure to have an FPS counter on to see what happens when the stutter appears.
Best of luck!
Most likely the monitor, no way two different systems have the same problem, unless you're using a dodgy cable for both. Fiddle with the settings on the monitor to do with refresh rate, I only have 60hz monitors so I wouldnt know what to tell you to look for but have a play around with it. No chance you can tesr your systems with another monitor e.g. a tv or smthn ?

frame drops & stuttering are quite often a symptom of a cpu bottleneck, but given it's a 7700K that's not very likely

How often does it happen?

What display connection type are you using?

run msi afterburner while gaming and when the suttering/fps drops happen, check your CPU & GPU usage and post the figures here

I have an Asus 1080ti and the same monitor and don't have a single issue with it

Thanks for replying, I will try to find another monitor so i can test it, thanks! Also tried with aan HDMI cable with almost same results.

Thanks for replying! you guys are awsome!
It happens pretty often, I mean experience is very playable but I hate those micro stutters.
Im using Display port, but also happens with HDMI.
This is the screenshot from MSI, never used this so hope its right

Also here are my settings on nvidia panel:

Thanks!

It's so wierd that both of systems have the same exact issue, so I'm betting on the monitor being faulty, like you said the 1080 ti should be able to handle this monitor no problem. Good to hear your setup is working good, hopefully I can fix my setup soon u.u

Are you playing in windowed (or borderless window) mode or full screen?

Make sure you don't mix sync options, meaning having vsync and gsync active at the same time.
Since you have a g-sync monitor I think you should always disable ingame vsync... if your refresh rate is too high (like over your monitor's hz), limit it with adaptive refresh from the nvidia options.

I don't remember, is tripple buffering on by default? That causes input lag and is especialy apparent wen playing in a window or borderless window.

Since you don't state where the games are installed... microstuttering can be mistaken to usual hdd access when loading or moving about in open-world games.

Lastly, assuming there's nothing wrong with your monitor, what have you set as it's "speed" (overdrive or gaming I think) options?

Thanks for replying!
I always play on fullscreen
I have tried a couple of combinations;
disabling v sync and enable gsync : micro stutters
disabling g sync and enable v sync : better then previous but still some micro stutters
disabling g sync and enable v sync adaptive: better then previous but still some micro stutters
Some games are installed on HDD and some on SSD all have micro stutters
"Lastly, assuming there's nothing wrong with your monitor, what have you set as it's "speed" (overdrive or gaming I think) options?"
I dont understand this, I just leave the monitor as is, it has a gaming mode but I really dont see any difference aside brightness and contrast profiles

Guys for a quick update I managed to find a driver for the monitor, after installing and rebooting seems the micro stuttering is almost gone(still a bit but way better) I'm testing the monitor tomorrow with a aorus gaming laptop of a friend hopefully I will know if it's a faulty monitor or not.
