GTX 1080 Ti FE - Switch Cooling?

Hello,

I was wondering how hard would it be to switch the cooling on a Founders Edition 1080 Ti to some of the options and also which options are the best as I know quite few brads do it.

I've been considering NZXT as I already owe their case and CPU cooling but want an opinion of someone who knows these things better if its worth it.

My GPU runs in 80 C in pretty much every new'ish game which is quite hot but from what I read for the FE cards is normal...

So is it worth it, how hard is it to do it myself, what brands and products would be the best?

It can be done using the NZXT G12 and a AIO liquid cooler, or using an Artic cooling cooler, but you will void your warranty.

I would just sell your FE, and buy a MSI Gaming X/Asus Strix/EVGA ICX version. Cheaper in the long run.

They're a ton of YouTube videos that show how to do this so just have a search on there. I addition I have the 1080Ti FE and it runs amazing on 1440p all the latest games etc. Unless you have a 120Hz 1440p or greater monitor it wouldn't be worth the trouble. Have fun.

I have a 1080p monitor for the moment but soon im buying 1440p 144hz + one. The reason I'm considering changing the cooling is because the card works in 84 C which is quite hot and makes the case quite warm as well.
