GTX 1080 Ti for gaming?

I have a gaming rig I built Feb 2016 as follows;

ASRock Z170 Extreme4
Intel Core i7 6700K
Corsair Hydro Series H80i GT
G.Skill Ripjaws 4 F4-3200C16D
Corsair RM750i 80Plus Gold
Samsung 950 Pro Series 256GB

current graphics card is a MSI GeForce GTX970 Gaming 4GB.

Have just bought a Acer Predator X34 UWQHD G-Sync Curved 34in IPS Gaming monitor and I am struggling to run 60 FPS at max settings.

wanting to know if GTX 1080 ti card will do the trick and perhaps which brand ( if much difference between the brands)?? and will my existing build still be OK to accept new card?

At that level, the performance difference between brands is not too big.

Your existing build should be good enough for the 1080Ti.

Performance wise not that much difference, it more features and cooling solutions at that level.

I prefer EVGA or Gigabyte. The Gigabyte AUROUS 1080ti has the highest stock boost speeds and that's why I went with that card myself.

Care to wait for the upcoming GTX11xx?
They should be already available still within this year.

When they are available, older GPUs will drop in price or you can simply take the newer ones.
