Hey guys, as the tittle says I am having some problems with my computer I do not know where the problem is but when playing games like Assassin's creed odyssey I see fps drops into the high 30's which considering the components I have I don't know if it is normal. Same goes for Ghost Recon Wildlands, in certain areas my fps drops to the 30's. Usually my gpu usage is around 60-90% with temperatures around 50-60 Celsius while my CPU usually has around 80-100% Usage with temperatures around 60-80 Celsius. I reinstalled all my drivers even went so far as to reinstall my windows. Here is my 3dmark Firestrike results https://www.3dmark.com/3dm/30303469.
So I have no clue if there is anything wrong with my components or this is the fps I should be getting also am I beeing bottlenecked by my cpu ? And if so should I swap my i7 7700k with a i7 5960x or a Ryzen 7 2700x ?

My specs :

GPU : GTX 1080 Ti Asus Strix Rog

CPU : i7 7700k + Corsair H75 Liquid cooling

MOBO : Asus Sabertooth Z170 Mark 1

RAM : 16 GB Kingston HyperX Fury

PSU : TX650M Corsair 650W 80+ Gold

Yeah, 30fps does seem off. Your FireStrike scores are normal though.

Oh... you have a single stick of 16GB memory. That's most likely your issue there. You need dual-channel. Single-channel effectively cuts your memory bandwidth in half.

At 1080p resolution you can benefit from faster RAM also. I would sell your current stick and buy a 2x8GB kit of 3000 or 3200MHz.
What resolution?

I had an i7-7700K and then bought the Ryzen 7 2700X (not as an upgrade, but just to have) and it isn't any faster at AC Odyssey than my i7-7700K. The 7700K was actually faster even with it being at 99% utilization. If you did want a CPU upgrade, you should get an i7-9700K or 9900K. Possibly an 8700K.

If you are at 1080p resolution you should get a 1440p montior. I was playing at 1440p.

If you are playing on max/ultra settings you should try playing on high/very high settings.

Your FireStrike score is very good.

I am playing at 1080p @ 144Hz and yes I am playing most games with the highest settings possible, the only reason I think there is something wrong with my pc is when I am comparing to others using the same settings as me with the same components and they are getting almost double my fps.

Hello, so as I said I will return with a reply in case the RAM solved my problem. I chose to go with Corsair Vengeance 2x8 GB at 3200MHz and everything works like a charm, in the areas where I used to have 30 FPS in AC Odyssey I now have 60-70, Need for Speed 2015 from 70-80-90 fps now at 120+, Battlefield 1 from 70-90 fps to 140+ so far it has solved my issue but there was one small problem, my motherboard supports only 2400MHz RAM speed so I disabled XMP and overclocked the RAM to their factory speed of 3200 without changing any voltage, will this work fine or should I need to worry about it ?
CPU-Z shows that the RAM is running at 3200MHz speed
