Gtx 1080 ti low gpu usage, low fps

Just installed a new zotac gtx 1080 ti, I've uninstalled the previous driver using DDU & had installed the new driver. Benchmark firestrike and got 20438. However when I'm in game, the performance is comparable to my previous 1060 maybe even worse & the GPU usage are at 40-50%

i7-8700
8 gb ddr4 ram
2560x1080, 75 herz

Make and model of your PSU? How old is the unit? Check if you're on the latest BIOS for your motherboard. You didn't mention which games gave you performances akin to having a GTX1060 in your system. You can try uninstalling and reinstalling your GPU drivers with a prior known working drivers while on the GTX1060.

For PSU: FPS Hydro 750, For games assassin creed origin on medium: 40-50 fps, Witcher 3 on ultra: 55 fps, FFXV on high: 40 fps, Rise of The Tomb Raider on ultra: 80 fps. I disable AA, Vsync & any nvdia effect. The frame rate is also not stable & frequently drops lower
