i just bought aorus extreme edition gtx 1080 ti.I have installed the aorus graphic engine also the updated bios to unlock 150 power. From the first time i pushed the OC button which overclocks the card to 2025mhz.It froze after first attemp to run heaven benchmark, the gaming OC button works well but up to 1970 mhz core clock,no voltage is applied to both profiles. So i have started to configure it myself, saw other measurements on guru3d techpower and other legit reviews about the same card, they managed to go up to 2050mhz and i barely made it through 1970mhz core clock with or without 100 voltage and power 150.If i change up a little the core clock about +2 or +3 it freezes everytime.I have windows 64bit pro legit, all drivers up to date, cpu i5 4690k(4,6ghz) MSI z87-g45 motherboard . i think that my card is not working properly . Also to mention PS 750xfx gold series. All my stuff is working good except my new gpu if i want to overclock a little....

Not all cards can perform the same overclock. And yes, it is 90% based on your card but the rest of it lies on the rest of your setup. You must start tweaking with the voltage to obtain a stable overclock. This can be time consuming and requires patience. The fact that those advertisers are claiming they have the max overclock without voltage change says nothing to me

http:// My setup right now,i know that the cars varies one from others but i was dissapointed because i saw others who had the same card the overclock gone pretty well.I dont know if i miss something and my card doesnt accept clocks over 2ghz

I am suspecting problems with your memory. What is your ram? Didn't see it posted. You know the more depending is the card, the more it asks from your ram and your chipset ie memory controller. Try cleaning everything, i had the same problem and i figured it out after cleaning my ram slots.

So now your OP makes more sense. The only way is to test the card in another powerful rig. Then it will be definite that it's up to the card. I am doubtful eitherway you can claim a refund or something since it is stable at the adverstised speeds. You know, silicon lottery 🙁

I will not let this go away like that,i have opened a ticket on gigabyte support, also i will contact the seller i bought the card for a replacement because i am not responsible for that issue. It was supposed to get overclocked to 2025 easy with one press of a button. And when i do it the whole pc restarts everytime.I have done everything correctly there is not much to do only to ask for a replacement.Next time will prefer MSI or ASUS im done with aorus....:pfff:

Yeah go for it, it's a shame to waste so much money, good luck
