Hello, I have a GTX 1080 Ti and i have a question regarding safe temperatures. While playing Red Dead Redemption 2 I noticed that my GPU temp would get to about 72c even with a very aggressive fan curve (running at 100% when it hits 55c and above). Yes Red Dead Redemption 2 is very demanding to run and it wouldn't hurt if my room was a bit cooler, but is it safe to keep the GPU running at this temperature for an extended period of time? What do you guys think?

Solution
Don't worry about your GPU hitting 72C. GTX 1080 Ti's preset thermal throttle point is 84C.

Anything under 84C is fine :) Have fun in Red Dead 2!
I have a 1080 ti, and i managed to get it to a maximum of 40 Cº when playing games at 1080p,no matter what graphic option is enabled/disabled, however in higher resolutions(2k or 4k) the temps rise, like a lot, in 2k i get around 50 and 4k takes me to the 60+ (with an air conditioner on and a hell of a lot of fans), what resolution are you playing in?
