[SOLVED] Gtx 1080 underperforming

Hi all,
Recently i bought a gtx 1080 founders edition from my friend, and i have found that the card is not doing as good as it is supposed to. It cant even run cod warzone without stuttering, gets really hot quickluy when playing apex legends, and cant hold constant frames in games like fortnite.
If anyone knows what the problem is, or a solution, help would be appreciated.

Stutter and FPS drops in Fortnite is a common thing. You'll have to search youtube for good guides on how to "How To Minimise Stutter & FPS Drops". It might help with all other games.

Getting hot is a model specific thing. All you can do is clean and reapply thermal paste for the GPU.

Your RAM, what speed is it and is it 1x8gb or 2x4gb?

What temperature is your gpu reaching when in game?
