GTX 1080 vs RTX 2080

So, my question is which gpu should i buy? Right now RTX 2080 in my country is 800+ euros, its awful price for some countries i know, its normal in here. And GTX 1080 is like 500 euros, which is actually a good price. It has dropped like 200 euros since march. When i saw benchmarks, i saw that rtx 2080 gets like 10-30 fps more in 2k, which i dont really care about that much. So question is should i buy gtx 1080 or waste 300 euros more and get rtx 2080. Im asking because maybe rtx 2080 gets better overtime and gtx 1080 is already outdated.

Not exactly outdated, the 1080 is still one of the best cards out there. If anything I'd get the 1080 ti as it performs fairly close to the RTX 2080 for considerably less.

The only 2080 series that's even remotely worth buying is the ti. The 2080 is barely if any faster than the 1080 ti.

Yeah the good ones are saying pass on the RTX and get a GTX 1080Ti before they are all gone.

Honestly, your best bet will be to snag a used gtx 1080ti on eBay. It will still be under warranty and you already know the reason why they're selling it for the most part. However if you find a really good deal on a non TI it will still play games very well. As of right now (I still have to check out more benchmarks) but the 2000 series performance doesn't justify the cost.
