[SOLVED] Gtx 1080 with 240hz monitor

Is it worth buying the asus rog swift pg258q 240hz ? ( with cpu i5 8600k/ gpu gtx 1080 ).

If you want ludicrous frame rates, sure. You might not get that in all titles with an i5-8600k, but it will make a pretty good try at it. Really depends on the exact game titles and your settings. GTX 1080 will probably struggle a bit on the very high end games if you max out the settings, just about exactly as hard as running 2560x1440@144hz, which the 1080 can't quite do on recent games at max.

Certainly a faster processor, but only in titles that can use more than 6 threads. Were I doing what you plan that is the CPU I would choose.
