I'm struggling to figure out why my pc is underperforming and dropping frames, I've recently been playing far cry 5 and bf1 whilst testing them with msi afterburner and looking at online benchmarks. Far cry 5 performing quite well on these videos yet dropping below 60 fps for me and same with bf1. the gpu usage for both these games usually stays around 80 to 100% and around 60 to 66 temps, cpu usage 30-40% and 50-60 temps.

Motherboard - Msi a320m gaming pro
CPU - Ryzen 5 1600
RAM - 1 8gb crucial ram 2133mhz
GPU - GTX 1080 Msi
Monitor - AG271QG (2560x1440 144hz)

I have roughly same specs as you ie. 1080 + r5 1600 Asrock b350 board.

You only have 1 stick of RAM my dude so that might be crippling your performance. I vaguely remember a video which showed how Battlefield in particular loves loads of RAM. I can second that in the fact I play at 1080p 144hz and go well above 8gb of RAM sometimes 10-12GB.

Also dual channel helps alot in certain games and as a rule of thumb dual channel is almost always vastly superior to single channel in every situation. I would Highly suggest you add another IDENTICAL stick and see how it goes.

Hope this helps!
