Gtx 1080ti Amp extreme Upgrade

Hi ,

Should i upgrade 1080ti Amp extreme from 1070 Amp extreme .

I could try to sell 1070 amp extreme for 80% for my purchase price .

My monitor is : Acer x34 running at 3440x1440 resolution , 100 hz .

Or should i wait for next generation of Nvidia GPU .

If you cannot play most of your games at 3440x1440 resolution , 100 hz then an upgrade can be considered if you have the money and wish to play at that resolution and fps.

The 1070 is a great card but even when SLI'd it cannot compete with the 1080ti. It is your choice. If you can still get 80% for the GTX1070 and you have the money to get the 1080ti then I feel it should be a very good option.

The next generation of Nvidia cards are some ways away as these just launched a few months ago.

And not to mention, vega will be apprx 27% slower than the 1080ti unless AMD has another model up their sleeve to be a top end card killer which I don't feel 100% confident about just yet...

I would sell the 1070 and get the 1080Ti, easily worth it, about a 75% perf upgrade.
