Hello!

I recently bought a used Asus ROG Strix 1080Ti and after putting it in place and booting up it worked okay. I installed the drivers through windows 10 auto update. It worked still and then I restarted the PC and it booted up and sound works (makes the sound of USB device connecting) and even monitor is turned on and shows that it gets DVI signal but only black screen on the monitor. Also after the driver got installed other components take more time to light up (Keyboard, mouse etc.). Fans and GPU start working right after pressing Power Button, though GPU fans stop after 3 seconds, probably because there is no load and fans doesn't need to work.

When I take GPU out and use Integrated GPU everything works okay. Also with my older GPU GTX 770 works fine even when I reconnected it after having a problem with 1080Ti.

My PC specs (4 years old setup):

ASRock Fatality H87 Performance motherboard

Intel i5-4670K 3,8 GHz

Corsair CS750M 80 PLUS Modular PSU

GTX 770 Windforce 3X 2GB

Crucial 8GB DDR3 Ballistix PC3-12800, 1,5V

New GPU: Asus ROG Strix GTX 1080Ti 11GB

Things i have tried:

1. Turning case on the side so there would not be GPU sagging.

2. BIOS is up to date

3. Clearing CMOS.

4. Tried 2 monitors with a DVI cable and TV with HDMI.

5. Turning off CSM, VT-D, Default GPU is set as PCI-E

6. Reinstalling Windows 10.

7. Used DDU in safe mode.

8. Disabling Integrated Graphics.

9. Tried installing drivers without Nvidia Experience.

10. Downloaded drivers from Nvidia page and installed manually.

11. Updated every other driver there is.

I can't try it on the other PCI-E x16 slot because PCI slot gets in the way.

I haven't been able to test with some other motherboard yet.

Any help would be very much appreciated

try using a different output i have the same problem on my rx 570 and previous 580, it might be the dvi signal because it won't work with dvi but when i plug in hdmi. Also by reading other posts ive concluded that many who have the issue are using dvi out.

Thanks for a reply.
I got this problem sorted. It was a faulty GPU. Got my money back and bought a new one.
