I am almost done with the hardware of my new gaming PC to be honest it's my first time building 1 it works now but I didn't have the money when I built it to buy a graphic card so now I can buy a graphics card and I am confused whether to buy gtx 1080ti (a bit better no future proofing I guess) Rtx 2080 (future proofing) or the new and Radeon VII I think those are the best graphics cards I can afford I can also buy used ones if it's a good idea? My pc includes 2×8 16GB Corsair vengeance 3000 MHz ram a core i7 8700k CPU 2TB sshd Seagate drive 750 watt cooler master power supply the new cooler master Ma410p RGB fan and a Z390 Aorous Master motherboard. I can and will be upgrading in the future add rams and I will get either 970 pro sad or 970 Evo plus ssd I would really appreciate it if you have any tips on ssds or GPUs for me. Thank You

Well, you can check this: https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/amd-radeon-vii-vega-20-7nm,5977.html
Not all that impressive.

As norcalsc said, 2080 and 1080ti are about the same. Get the cheaper one. In fact, if the prices happen to be close in your area, I'D probably get a 1080ti. If you're getting one of these high end cards you must be playing on at least 1440p, right? See, the ray tracing feature of the RTX cards is mostly limited to 1080p 60fps. You'd waste money on a feature you wouldn't really use.

from what i can see the performance for radeon 7 can be a bit inconsistent across many tittle. they are crazy fast in some tittle like strange brigade (only second to 2080ti) but that is tittle that is known that work really well on radeon and we don't have many of those out there.

2080 vs 1080ti i think it actually comes down to pricing. if you care about price then 1080ti is a very strong contender. if price is less of a concern the 2080 is not that bad either. yes 2080 and 1080ti is about on par to each other most often that only valid for older tittle. going forward the 2080 most likely end up being faster in newer tittle vs 1080ti even we did not take RTX or DLSS into account. Turing for one work much better with DX12/Vulkan due to turing big improvement in async compute capability. and it's ability to handle FP32 and INT32 at the same time will also going to give turing the advantage when more tittle leverage this kind of game optimization. just look how fast 2080 can be with Id Tech engine in wolfenstein 2.
