GTX 1180 vs GTX 1080 ti

I have no idea what to do right now. I can buy a brand new sealed 1080 ti Strix for $600 cash right now, but should I wait and buy an 1180? I heard it's gonna be $699 msrp but it will outperform the 1080 ti by a lot. Is this true? and if so, which one should I go for? Thanks

Those are all rumors. All the "leaks" suggest the 1180 might out perform the 1080Ti, but not by a huge amount when comparing the known specs. As for the price, who knows what msrp will be, but you can be sure they'll sell for more than that for a while.

600 bucks is a smokin deal can you even utilize a 1080ti? what good is the 1180 if you cant take advantage of it's power? not saying you cant' just things to consider. I wouldn't pass that up if i was looking

On paper(if the leaks are somewhat near to true specs) GTX1180 is around 20% more powerful than GTX1080Ti and around 50% more powerful than GTX1080. That is a huge gain. It is completely worth waiting for.
