[SOLVED] GTX 1650 and mob compatibility

Hello I recently purchased a GTX 1650 and plugged it in and instantly had an issue as my Mobo is old as dirt . I searched for compatible mobos for the card and mine was not listed. I have an Intel dh61be , i7 2600k cpu, 500 watt psu , 8gb Patriot ddr 3 ram. My PC would beep once every 30secs to 1 minute and never get past the bios screen. It did load up twice and was using my integrated graphics but each time it shut back down. Then after that the screen was scrambled. I plugged my 750ti back in and no issues. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Does your GTX 1650 require 6 pin PCIe power? If so did you plug it in?

Is your monitor plugged into the GTX 1650?

It does require the 6pin and I plugged that in. The card seemed to be working as far as fans had turned on so it did have power.

Some H61 chipset boards will not run newer cards , beyond the Nvidia 700 series.

I tried to update the bios but the Mobo is completely discontinued so I couldn't update it from Intel's site.

Yeah I had it to the gpu and not the Mobo..learned that one the hard way once before. Spent a good 40 minutes troubleshooting my own boneheaded move lol.

Thanks that was what I was thinking after researching but before I upgrade mobo/cpu and have to tell my wife I spent more money I'd though I'd ask.
