[SOLVED] GTX 1650 Bottleneck

Hi friends.Sorry if I opened the topic in the wrong place,I'm new to the forum.I5 4590, H97 Gaming 3.8 Gb 1600MHz ram,500watt 12V 400Wt psu available.Does the MSI GeForce GTX 1650 Gaming X 4G bottleneck in 1080p? Thanks.

At 1080P the 4590/1650 is a solid pairing and I doubt you'd see any situation where the CPU is holding back the GPU.

All systems can bottleneck, even the best systems can in certain circumstances. A 4590 and 1650 are a good pairing as Wildcard said.

In newer AAA games a 4590 is going to be limiting regardless of gpu choice. In other games it should be a good setup.

What make and model is it? There is a huge difference between a high and a low wattage psu.

Not aware of that PSU quality although for those parts it may be fine. If you upgrade the system later on then you will want to replace it with a good quality unit.

I am the same, I do not know this PSU. From a Google search the spec's look ok for a 500w, trouble is we know some PSU's lie about their ratings so spec's cannot always be trusted.

I would replace that PSU, with a quality unit, to avoid system damage. Corsair CX550M would be a far better PSU, and it is considered a budget unit.

There isn't in the concern of the CPU holding back the GPU's performance or vice-versa. Adding that GPU into the build is going to be a massive improvement over the iGPU on the CPU.
