[SOLVED] Gtx 1650 super mobo compatibility

I recently bought a gtx 1650 super. After installing it on my Asus striker extreme mobo, during bios post I can hear a very short 1x beep then nothing, no signal. It's about half of regular post beep, like the beep is cut off in the middle. 12v pin is plugged in. I've read that maybe my mobo's bios is too old for the card but they stopped issuing bios update in 2010. Is there anything I can do beside buying a new mobo?

A 750 watt is ample for that setup I'd say.

Yes, that is plenty. I doubt that it is a power issue. It is likely that the MB and GPU are just incompatible. I'm assuming an older GPU works fine, so we are not talking about a bad slot or something.

There are some modded BIOSes out there, but I expect most of them add CPU compatibility (XEON) ... might be worth a look.

Other option is new motherboard, CPU, and memory .... or, head to goodwill and see what they have.
