[SOLVED] GTX 1650s vs GTX1660s for gaming

I want to be able to play the latest games in 1080p at high/ultra settings without sacrificing too much FPS, i want to choose the best graphics card that suits my needs and my budget, for me that's the GTX 1650 Super or the more expensive GTX 1660 Super.

I did some research and the only major difference i can see between the two cards is the memory, the GTX 1650 Super has 4GB GDDR6 while the 1660 Super has higher speed/bandwidth 6GB GDDR6 memory, apart from that, both are based on the same architecture and have a base clock of 1530Mhz (the 1660s can reach a boost clock of 1785Mhz while the 1650s can only reach 1725Mhz).

Pricewise, in my country, the 1660s is way more expensive than the 1650s for my budget, and i wanted to ask if it's really necessary to get the 1660s or can i just stick with the cheaper 1650s?

PS: For the CPU, i have a Ryzen 5 1600AF and 16GB of DDR4 RAM @3200Mhz.

Definitely go with the 1660s. There is far more to it, than memory amount, and clock speeds. The 1660s has more cuda cores as well as a faster memory bandwidth.

Those are not the only differences between 1660S and 1650S. Cuda cores, Memory Speed, Bandwidth, Interface etc. 1660 Super is just plain better and performs 20% better than 1650 Super.
First of all I'll make this clear that 1650S cant run even current AAA titles on High 60fps so you can forget about it being able to run future AAA titles on High 60fps. You can play all current titles on Medium 1080p and hopefully future titles at Medium-Low 60fps.
The 1660 Super can run pretty much every current title on 1080 High 60fps, as long as you pair a well clocked CPU along with it.

Now my advice to you: You should aim high but keep your expectations according to your budget. If you're going to have to gouge your kidney out to buy a 1660 Super right now then it wont be worth the hassle. If you can save up a month or two and then buy the 1660 Super then yes it's better
BUT I'll remind you that you're running a R5 1600AF. It's not really known for it's high clock speeds. Although it won't bottleneck even a 1660 Super since it will never hit 100% usage, but the amount of fps you'll be missing out simply because your core clocks are not that high is pretty big. If you can I recommend that you buy a higher clocked CPU along with the 1650S right now. This way you can get the most out of your next GPU, whichever it is. You can look at the upcoming RTX 3050, it's apparently a budget option that will cost between
$200-250 so you can save up for half an year and then try to get that.
The performance boost from a better CPU + 1650S should be almost the same as your Current CPU + 1660S give or take 5-10%.
Alternatively you could also OC your 1600AF to 4.0 GHz if you're willing to and then you wont really need to upgrade the CPU to get the most out of even a 1660 Super
