Hey there, going to buy my first rig. So right now I am confused about my gpu. I don't want spend extra money for 5 or 10 fps in game play. Monitor is 1080p 75hz. Looking to play recent AAA games in high settings with decent fps. Will paying extra money really matters in gameplay? Is there any equivalent Mobo with lesser price?.
Mobo- Msi z390 A-pro
Gpu - Gegabyte Gtx 1660ti
Ram - Hyperfury X 8gb ddr4 2400 mhz
Psu - corsair vs550 550watts
Edit -
my budget is $1000 and really into single player fps games.

The 1660 Ti Will be typically 10 FPS better than the 1660. It depends on whether you see that as a worthy increase in performance.

For the PSU, the Corsair VS series is not a good choice. It is more of an upgraded day-to-day/office power supply than one for gaming. The cheapest one in India that I'd recommend in the Corsair CX.

If you can go slightly over your budget now, then you might as well get the fast RAM and good GPU, otherwise you will have to spend even more later down the line.

CPU: Intel Core i5-9400F 2.9 GHz 6-Core Processor (₹12200.00 @ Amazon India)
Motherboard: ASRock Z390 Pro4 ATX LGA1151...
You should be looking at a DDR4-3200Mhz dual channel kit if you're looking to pair a Z series chipset with an 8th/9th gen processor from Intel. That PSU is more of an expensive paperweight, regardless of which version it is.

Your alias tells me you're located in India. If so, might want to share your budget for the build and your preferred parts purchase site, so we know what sort of hardware you have access to?

Depends on the settings and games. gpucheck is a good place to look. For competitive games people usually play low/1080p so either one will hit 75hz easy. 9400f has been on sale a lot recently it's a very good cpu for gaming.

I'd aim for 15%+ fps over what you want to play at a minimum. A lot of extra fps over your refresh rate won't help you much. Both of those cards offer high $/perf. They can handle 144hz on many competitive games. The RX 570 or GTX 1650 can hit 75hz in many games if you want to save some cash. The 1660/ti has the latest NVENC h264 b frame if you want to stream using OBS it will make a huge difference.

I am buying parts from Amazon. So what psu will be best for this config. My budget is $1000. BTW I am going to upgrade my ram to 3200mhz ddr4 in future. I am looking to play bf1, cod and other fps games in high settings. Not really into streaming and multi-player. Will gtx 1660 satisfies my need?
