Non OC, I noticed whilst gaming that my GPU clock would be inconsistent. It would be move between 1890 - 1950 depending on what was going on, on the screen. It seemed to be correlated with GPU utilization. I watched videos of others on Youtube with the same card and notice their core clock stayed the same, constantly at one number.

I decided to OC it to 2100. I played Project CARS 2 whereby the utilisation remained at 99% but the core clock fluctuated between 2090 and 1980mhz.

I am not sure why it would be doing this.

EDIT: It doesn't move wildly, like FPS would. It moves maybe every 20 seconds by little 10-20mhz.
EDIT 2: The temp has never gone above 67 degrees.

That's normal, with Nvidia's 10, 16, and 20 series gpus via the Gpu Boost algorithm. I don't yet know if RTX 30 does too, but I imagine it does.
Ryzen 3000 does the same thing even.
I don't know if RX 5700/XT do it though.

Those devices have several thermal thresholds. The cooler they run, the better they will hold higher frequencies - bar power limits, anyway.

I'd it's set on auto then it will change to whatever it feel it needs to work...

My Cpu goes from 600mhz-900mhz roughly while idling on cpuz... Unless you tell it that it has to run at a specific clock then it's gonna choose.

So, I played a game yesterday and it was at 40 degrees, climbing up to 60, and still did this. I suppose it thinks 50 degrees is a high temp?
