Hello everyone. I am going to uprade my graphics card from gtx 650 ti (1gb) to either gtx 1660 or 1660ti from Palit (StormX). Here`s my Low End PC specs:

1.CPU: i5 3470
2.PSU: Cooler Master rs-460w-pcar-a3
3.Monitor: Samsung 1680 x 1050, 60GHz
4. RAM: 8gb DDR3

For such a monitor both cards are okay. I have heard that GDDR6 in 1660 TI is more power efficient (which can help my pretty weak PSU) and costs just 50$ more in my city. But will the processor have a big bottleneck on the TI variant? The temperatures and noise levels are similar in Palit version of the cards (though only one fan present). The card will be used for occasional gaming. But is 1660 ti worth the extra price?
Thank you in advance for your answer:)

The upgrade is going to be huge, but it would have been much better if you had a FULL HD screen instead. And yes, that a pretty low-end/budget PSU. Don't use this PSU model. Regarding bottleneck, I'm not fully sure, but I think you should be fine.

I really want to upgrade the PSU, but I am leaving the city in about three months and see no sense in uprading it, since am not going to game constantly after I leave. But that`s beside the point . The thing is - is the gtx 1660 or 1660 ti a better purchase for such a PC? I am not really on a budget, but still would like to know which purchase is more effective:)
