[SOLVED] GTX 1660 vs RX 580

Which one is better than the other.
I am seeing a new card from Nvidia that is aiming for 1060-1070 users but a lower price point and also the price of AMD Radeon RX 580 8 GB is also cheap.
Can it match the same power and efficiency as GTX 1660 6 Gb ?
What PCIE slots do they support. 2.0 or 3.0 x16??

The 1660 is a bit stronger than the 580, yes. Depending on the games. They both support either PCIe 2.0 or 3.0. PCIe is a backward compatible interface. But if you find a better deal on the RX 580, get it. The performance difference isn't a deal breaker. I doubt you could tell the difference in real use.
