Gtx 260 - PC startup error

Hi,
Forgive me my ignorance on pcs 😛

Trying to start up the computer with a new Geforce Gtx 260 and i get a Post error..it sounds like 1 medium beep followed by 3 or 4 short ones (my hearing makes it hard to figure exact length of beeps). The computer then continues to boot up but i am not getting any signal from the card to the monitor.
I cannot even reach BIOS to see whats up in there.

Motherboard : EVGa NForce 680i SLI MB (i belive)
PSU: 700 WATT OEM ATX PSU REV2
CARD: Bfg Geforce gtx 260 (OC) 896mb GDDR3

make sure the card is plugged in correctly. Its def video card related judging by the beeps.
