I have a Palit GTX 260 sonic. It has 2 DVI ports. When I upgraded to Windows Vista Ultimate, the problem started. When logging in Normal mode, there a black screen and error mode not supported. When logging in at safe mode, its ok. So I used the other DVI port and its working fine. Do you think its a hardware problem? kind help me with this problem and I would gladly appreciate it. Thanks

Chances are that it's a driver issue with vista and your card.
You could get the latest drivers from Nvidia which should fix your issue.
But you say it works fine from the other DVI port. I'm not sure if you have to have 2 monitors hooked up for both DVI ports to work or not. I think the mode not supported error is related to "dual monitor mode" in which you need 2 monitors for.
Hope this helps.----JQ

I only have 1 monitor with it its actually a Samsung 22" hdtv. I'm using the latest driver from Nvidia. (190.38 version). Thanks Johnnyq1233 for some info.

My specs:
AMD X2 5000+ 2.6 Ghz, Nvidia 8300 mobo, 2GB Kingston Hyperx DDR2 1066, WD Caviar Black 640 GB 32Mb cache, Palit GTX 260 Sonic, Samsung 22" HDTV.

Thanks, I only have 1 monitor hooked up on it. I have the latest driver from Nvidia. Its just that Im unable to go to normal mode when logging in. What I did is to reformat my OS. And thats it. all back to normal. Most probably the Os was just corrupted. Sad to say I lost all my files. All games I downloaded for months and Mp3. I just want to know what happened to it. What if that happens again? Im hoping for a good answer on thsi problem so next time we can handle it. Thanks guys...
