Gtx 260 windows 7 problems

I am having trouble running COD4 multi-player. A couple of minutes into each match my game starts to lock up. Sometimes things will turn bright blue or red as I am playing, but eventually it just freezes.

I can run Bad Company 2 multi-player flawlessly, so I am wondering if it is a windows7 compatibility issue.

Anyone had this problem?

My specs are:

AMD Phenom II X4 955
MOBO MSI790XT-G45 (MS-7388)
WINDOWS 7 ULTIMATE 64BIT
NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 260
PHYSICAL MEMORY 4,095 MB

Everything is up to date. Fresh build.

BC2 runs great with no hiccups at all.

Could it just be a Windows7 COD4 conflict?
