GTX 280 SLI

Hey guys,

I've asked this question before and didn't go through with it, but as time went on prices are at an all time low. Would it be worth it to go with a second GTX 280 OCX (666 mhz) for SLI @ a 220.00 price point? I play all kinds of games from wow to crysis and supcom @ 1920 x 1200. I'm running E8600 @ 3.8ghz, 8gb ram, 1000w psu, gtx 280 ocx and will probably be going triple monitor in the near future.

If you want to play @ Max settings with full AA and AF ON, then yes, go ahead and get one more in SLI...

Hit any performance wall with one of your game? If not, SLI might not give you much more @ 1920x1200.

Crysis will enjoy the 2nd card. Go for the upgrade if you cant max out your games with 1 card.

If spending $220 doesnt hurt, then do it. I doubt you'll feel much difference with another 280, but it'll be nice to know your PC is maxed out, and seeing the diff in Vantage and 3dmark06 will be entertaining.

When I went from one 9800 to two, I could feel the difference. It was worth it.

Just make sure you have a power supply that can handle both of those power hungry cards first.
