GTX 285 or 4870 Xfire

i'm building a system,

antec 902
Asus p6t SE
i7 920
6gb 1600mhz ram
2 x 500gb 7200rpm in raid 0
antec truepower 750w

im stuck on the graphics card:

should i go for a single gtx 285 at £230?
or should i get two 1gb 4870 in xfire for £200?

my moniter is a 22inch benq at 1920x1080

As ATI has just released new drivers and are claiming significant improvement in scaling, I would go with a pair of 4870's. Preferably XFX only for the lifetime warr.

I also would check to see if the 285 is 10.1 compatible. I could not find this info after a quick search.

Performance wise, the 4870 twice should be as good and better in most cases.

On the other hand, in 25 days ATI is bringing out a whole new line that will be DX11 to go with W7. You may want to hang on.
