[SOLVED] GTX 3090

Solution
I upgraded my CPU to i9 10900k for this new 3090 because been hearing storys that its powerful and better then 2080ti but to be honest I would check the youtube benchmarks and reviews before going ahead and buying. I do think i7 7700k is an good CPU but might be to weak for 3090!. I am worried at the moment because I want 3090 but got the 2080ti on 4k and games play fine!

But on an intel platform would you have PCIE 4.0?
THat's why I'm going with a 3900x or xt

You should be worried because NVidia just released actualy gameplay footage of Doom Eternal running on the the 3080 and NOT the 3090.

The impressive thing about the video is that it's consistently hitting above 140FPS even when there's a heap of <Mod Edit> going on. One can imagine the 3090 might be able to hit 144 if the 3080 is able to get near 200FPS at 4K on ultra settings.

I don’t think at the beginning of this new generation pcie 4.0 will have significant difference versus the predecessor but later on in the generation bigger games definitely will take advantage of it and 4.0 will be smart to have that’s why I’m going with a 4.0 setup

Yeah that's what reviewers are saying. PCI-E bandwidth requirements are very game dependent surprisingly.
